The School Funding Election’s impact on our students & teachers.

Provide the teacher salaries needed to keep & attract experienced educators.

Maypearl ISD students are fortunate to have experienced teachers and educators managing their classrooms. If voters approve the School Funding Election on November 4, it will enable the district to offer competitive salaries to keep these educators and attract new teachers needed to expand our academic, fine arts, college prep, and CTE programs.

Maintain small class sizes that allow for more one-on-one attention between students & teachers.

Competition for teachers in Texas classrooms is an ongoing effort for every school district. Should the schools of Maypearl ISD lose teachers to better-paying districts, we'll have fewer educators, resulting in larger class sizes. By investing in higher pay and benefits, we can keep our top teachers, attract new teachers, and maintain small classes that give each student more individual instruction.

Expand in-demand academic, job training, and career certification & fine arts offerings.

Our School Funding Election aims to generate the revenue required to boost college preparation, job skills training, and certification programs in high-demand careers. At the same time, we'll ensure that our special education programs, academic courses, dual credit classes, athletics, fine arts programs, extracurricular activities, and leadership opportunities receive the support they need.

Maintain current safety programs & provide for additional security measures.

While Maypearl ISD has worked with state leaders to improve student and teacher safety, the Legislature has only funded a portion of the associated costs leaving it to local taxpayers to cover the remaining costs. The School Funding Election will provide the revenue needed to help maintain current safety programs, implement additional security measures, and continue providing armed officers for every campus.
